IEC has a new & dynamic legislative program designed to cover a wide range of issues, while providing a strong presence and unified voice on Capitol Hill. IEC has expanded its monitoring and lobbying activities at the Federal level. IEC currently monitors:

• The regulatory activities of 7 Federal Departments & 12 Federal Agencies
• The legislative activities in 17 full committees and 27 subcommittees in the U.S. Congress

• Training and Education Issues
• Stopping Union "salting" abuse, by working to pass amendments to the National Labor Relations Act to protect the "Open Shop" philosophy and the right to work · Raising the jurisdictional threshold of the National Labor Relations Board
• Active lobbying campaigns on regulatory issues that positively and negatively effect your business
• Monitoring of state legislative activity and work closely with each IEC state chapter focusing on Project Labor Agreements, Utility Deregulation, Apprentice Ratio's, and Codes & Standards
