Apprentice Program

About the Apprentice Program

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR STUDENTS

  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old
  • Applicants must be high school graduates or must have successfully passed the GED
  • Applicants must be physically fit to perform the work of the trade.
  • Applicants must have transportation to class and to the employer's place of business and work site.
  • Applications are available year round.
  • Desire to succeed.

Students may consult with the Educational Office if applicants do not meet the minimum requirernents.

Apprenticeship and Training Program

Apprenticeship training is a form of education that incorporates workplace training with technical in-school training. Since 1972, IEC has conducted apprenticeship training programs under standards approved by the U.S. Department of Labor.
