Effective on October 1, 2009, the State Apprenticeship Training Fund required all contractors and subcontractors working on State prevailing wage projects with prevailing wage determination dated on or after October 1, 2009 to register (Apprenticeship Training Fund Site) with the Division of Labor and Industry Prevailing Wage Unit prior to the commencement of work and to make certain contributions toward improving and expanding apprenticeship programs in the State. The infrastructure for handling this requirement is now in place and will begin accepting contributions on or about July 1, 2013. This meeting will review the new Acts that went into effect October 1, 2009. Mr. Ed Poarch, Administrator of Prevailing Wage Unit Division of Labor & Industry will be discussing how to comply with these new regulations, how to complete the forms necessary which are required to be completed online, and will answer any questions you may have.
