Effective October 1, 2009, the State Apprenticeship Training Fund requires all contractors and subcontractors working on State prevailing wage projects with prevailing wage determination dated on or after October 1, 2009 to register (Apprenticeship Training Fund Site) with the Division of Labor and Industry Prevailing Wage Unit prior to the commencement of work and to make certain contributions toward improving and expanding apprenticeship programs in the State. This meeting will review the new Acts that went into effect October 1, 2009 that also includes Workplace Fraud. Mr. Ed Poarch, Administrator of Prevailing Wage Unit Division of Labor & Industry will be discussing how to comply with these new regulations, how to complete the forms necessary, and will answer any questions you may have.
