John McNulty - REXEL, Automation Consultant Mr. McNulty joined the REXEL Automation Spe-cialist Team in February 2008. Specializing in Motion Control, PLCs and HMIs, John brings exten-sive industry knowledge from the Cement, Corrugating, and Machine Building industries. A de-greed engineer, he was born and raised in the Baltimore area where he attended the University of Maryland and currently designates this geographic area as home for him and his family. During his 33 years as an Electrical Controls Engineer, Mr. McNulty utilized his extensive experience in advancing the technology and design of controls for machinery as well as process systems. Mr. McNulty previously held positions as Engineering Manager, Project Engineer, Controls Engineer, and Systems Engineer for various international companies supplying machinery and process con-trols to the Automotive, Aerospace, Cement and Pharmaceutical industries.
Michael Harkins - REXEL, Automation Consultant Mr. Harkins joined the REXEL Automation Team in November 2000. Specializing in Variable Frequency Drives applications and communications. Mr. Harkins brought with him over 11 years of application engineering experience in many of today’s industrial applications. His Associate’s Degree in Electronic Technologies allows for a clear understanding of the intelligent devices used in today’s industrial applications. Mr. Harkins has had many successes in his career. Some of which include Drive System Application Engineering, Technical Sales, Instructing Industrial Automation classes and programming of today’s automa-tion technologies. Mr. Harkins has spent the last 11 years as the PLC Automation Consultant for Rexel and currently manages the Automation Consultant team.
Scott Popiolek - REXEL, Automation Consultant Mr. Popiolek joined the Rexel Automation Spe-cialist Team in August 2015. Specializing in Variable Frequency Drives, Scott brings 25 years of automation and controls experience from the maintenance and engineering functions of the food and beverage industry and System Integrator worlds. Scott's experience has ranged from design of PLC based control systems, commissioning of systems, maintenance of facility electrical sys-tems, and process improvement strategies for manufacturing sites. Scott received his Engineering degree from Capitol College and is a lifelong resident of the Baltimore area.
