Thank You! IEC-Chesapeake and Woodlands Job Corps for the outstanding apprenticeship/workforce training partnership implemented over the course of the last eight weeks.

A HUGE “shout out” to Grant Shmelzer, Robert Palmer and team at IEC-Chesapeake and Tonya Edison and team at Woodlands Job Corps for making this happen so quickly. Through this partnership, Mobern employed 6 IEC-Chesapeake pre-apprentice/Job Corps students to introduce them to working in a manufacturing setting.

While working at our Jessup factory, these students helped assemble over 4,000 energy-efficient lighting fixtures delivered to the Baltimore County Public Schools System. These fixtures will be installed over the next several months as part of a County wide effort to improve lighting and save energy in all County public schools. We at Mobern are grateful and proud to have been recognized for our workforce development initiatives geared to those in under-served communities.

Our IEC-Chesapeake/Job Corps partnership is another example of how we seek to better those needing jobs most while, at the same time, bettering institutions in our community. This is how we roll – this is the Mobern Advantage.
