Regular maintenance on electrical equipment is essential to prevent unsafe work conditions, including faults that could cause shock hazards, arc flash, and arc blast conditions. Preventative maintenance is necessary for regulatory compliance and to extend the life and reliability of your equipment.
In 2023, the NFPA 70B Electrical Equipment Maintenance recommendations became a recognized consensus standard. Now enforceable by OSHA, NFPA 70B can be utilized to issue citations. Understanding this standard is important for facility managers and safety officers to ensure proper and effective electrical preventative maintenance.
Qualified instructors will walk you through the standard and its practical safeguarding of persons, property, and processes. Learn the risks associated with failure, breakdown, or malfunction and how to establish a condition of maintenance of electrical equipment and systems for safety and reliability.
