This new requirement will ensure access to the work to be inspected and ensure the work is performed in accordance with the trade permit and the Construction Codes.

If approved by the Code Official prior to scheduling the inspection, a DC-licensed master tradesperson or DC-licensed journeyman representing and employed by either the master tradesperson permit holder or the person who employs the master tradesperson permit holder may be present instead of the master tradesperson permit holder.

DCRA inspectors will not approve an inspection if the master tradesperson permit holder (or representative master tradesperson/journeyman if allowed by the Code Official) is not present.
