IEC Chesapeake member Jeff Gilbert, Azimuth Solar Training, LLC, represented our chapter and his company by leading a directed study on solar energy at the National Youth Science Camp at Camp Pocahontas near Bartow, in the eastern mountains of West Virginia’s Potomac Highlands.
Mr. Gilbert is IEC Chesapeake’s leading provider of renewable energy continuing education training.
The National Youth Science Camp is a unique, four-week science education program for young scientists the summer after they graduate from high school.
“The National Youth Science Camp is a residential science education program for young STEM enthusiasts the summer after they graduate from high school. Students from around the country (two are selected to represent each state and Washington, D.C.) are challenged academically in exciting lectures and hands-on studies, and have voluntary opportunities to participate in an outdoor adventure program, gain a new and deep appreciation for the great outdoors, and establish friendships that last a lifetime.”
This year marked Jeff’s twenty second year leading a directed study on solar energy at the National Youth Science Camp.
Congratulations- and Thank You Jeff!
