Laurel, Maryland – April 15, 2019 – IEC Chesapeake (IECC), the region’s leading electrical and renewable energy contractor association and electrical apprenticeship program provider, has announced its expansion into Hagerstown, Maryland for the 2019-2020 school year. Working in conjunction with Hagerstown Community College, IECC will be offering classes this fall for Year One of its popular Four-Year Electrical Apprenticeship Program. The apprenticeship training program is designed to provide an electrical apprentice with the necessary theory and practical training to earn the status of electrician.

This new partnership allows IECC to expand its chapter presence and offer its sought-after electrical programs in previously underserved areas in and around Hagerstown. Classes will be held at 17301 Valley Mall Road, Hagerstown, Maryland 21740. Initially, just one class will held be held for the school year that begins this fall. The IEC Chesapeake curriculum is a recognized state- and federally-approved, registered apprenticeship training program.
